Sadiq Khan MP, Labour’s Shadow Justice Secretary, commenting on the sharp rise in reoffending rates said:

“This sharp rise in the number of sex offenders and violent criminals committing further serious offences is truly alarming. David Cameron’s government’s reckless policies have created chaos in prisons and probation and attention has been diverted from the primary focus of rehabilitating offenders and protecting the public.

“Chris Grayling needs to stop putting the public’s safety at risk and urgently get a grip with the mess this Government created with these half-baked policies.”
