Andrew Gwynne MP, Labour’s Shadow Health Minister, responding to the announcement on the publishing of surgical data, said:

“This is welcome but will struggle to make up for lost ground. Labour published key surgical information, but this Government stopped it for years after the election despite promises from David Cameron.

“Patients can only take limited comfort from this information when they’re now waiting longer and longer for surgery. Under David Cameron, waiting lists are spiralling and show he can’t be trusted with the NHS.”
