Gloria De Piero MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, responding to NCT research showing that barriers remain for parents returning to work, said:

“Labour will give support to more women returning to work or working extra hours by providing 25 hours of free childcare for three and four-year-olds for all working parents.
"We’ll also require breakfast clubs and after-school clubs to be provided because we recognise that the school day often doesn’t reflect the working day.
"Ministers should be leading the way in increasing opportunities for flexible working across the public sector -something a Labour Government will seek to do.”
