Pat McFadden MP, Labour’s Shadow Europe Minister, commenting on the British Chambers of Commerce ‘EU Business Barometer’, said:

“This survey from the British Chambers of Commerce shows the danger to UK businesses and UK jobs posed by David Cameron’s approach to Europe.

“A clear majority of the respondents to the survey don’t want to withdraw from the EU. They want the EU to work better for Britain, and that is what David Cameron should be pushing for, rather than risking damage to jobs and investment by sleepwalking Britain out of Europe.

“With every passing day it becomes clearer that weak leadership and lack of foresight from David Cameron means his approach to Europe poses a clear and present danger to the British economy.”
