David Cameron promised value for money but this report shows his ministers have failed to achieve it - Creagh
Mary Creagh MP, Labour’s Shadow International Development Secretary, responding to the NAO report: Managing the Official Development Assistance target, said:
“This NAO report criticises the Tory-led Government for incompetent planning which risked £1 billion of taxpayers’ money being poorly spent by DFID.
"The 0.7 per cent aid target is vitally important but ministers must plan spending flexibly to ensure they help the world’s poorest people. David Cameron promised value for money but this report shows his ministers have failed to achieve it.”
