Huw Irranca-Davies MP, Labour’s Shadow Food and Farming minister, responding to the publication of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee report on dairy prices, said:

“This is a difficult time for the dairy industry and today’s report makes it clear that the Government has been too slow to act.

“This latest dairy crisis is the second one in three years under this Government and it’s further evidence of the need to review the powers of the Groceries Code Adjudicator to provide better protection for our dairy farmers.”
