David Cameron's schools policy has created a dangerous void in the oversight of our schools – Tristram Hunt
Tristram Hunt MP, Labour’s Shadow Education Secretary, responding to reports on the failure of school oversight by David Cameron’s government said:
“David Cameron’s schools policy has created a dangerous void in the oversight of our schools, leading to serious problems in relation to financial propriety, educational performance and infiltration by those seeking to instil undue influences in our education system that run contrary to what we expect from 21st century schooling in this country.
“Labour has a better plan for education. Tough new Directors of Schools Standards at a local level will keep a check on schools to make sure that poor performance and mismanagement are caught early and dealt with.”
