Rachel Reeves MP, Labour’s Shadow Work and Pensions Minister, commenting on insurers’ warnings about the forthcoming pension changes said:

“Labour has repeatedly warned ministers about the dangers posed to savers by scams and mis-selling ahead of the introduction of the new pension freedoms in six weeks. But again and again the government refused to act to ensure savers are protected. Ministers must act quickly to ensure the changes to pensions don’t descend into chaos in six weeks’ time.”
