While David Cameron speculates, yet another business leader has spoken out about the risks of Britain sleepwalking out of Europe - Pat McFadden

Pat McFadden MP, Labour’s Shadow Europe Minister, responding to the comments of Jim Farley of Ford Europe, said:

“While David Cameron continues to speculate about exit, yet another business leader has chosen to speak out about the risks of Britain sleepwalking out of Europe.

"One in three Ford engines globally are made in the UK, and our membership of the EU gives us access to a single market of nearly 500 million consumers.

"Sleepwalking Britain towards exit from Europe will put jobs at businesses like Ford and their suppliers at risk.

"David Cameron should be helping exporters do more to sell British-made goods in Europe, not putting barriers in the way and setting our country back in the process.”
