Response to The Commission on Apprenticeships - Tristram Hunt
Tristram Hunt MP, Labour’s Shadow Education Secretary, responding to The Commission on Apprenticeships, published by Demos, said:
“For Britain to succeed, we need to make the most of the talents of all our young people. The Tory plan is letting down the next generation, with apprenticeships for young people falling in the last year.
“Labour will guarantee every school leaver that gets the right grades an apprenticeship. For too long we’ve only focused on those that go to university. But there aren’t enough high quality apprenticeships for young people that don’t follow the traditional academic route. We are going to change that. Labour has a better plan for a better future.”
