Public Accounts Committee report on Strategic Flood Risk Management - Barry Gardiner

Barry Gardiner MP, Labour’s Shadow Environment Minister, responding to the Public Accounts Committee report on Strategic Flood Risk Management, said:

“David Cameron’s Government has totally failed to get to grips with the increasing impact of climate change which threatens homes, businesses and our national security.

“This report exposes the major risks of this Government’s flood defence plans. Labour will deliver a new climate change adaptation plan and put flooding at the centre of our National Infrastructure investment plans to reduce the number of households at risk.”
