Jon Trickett, Labour’s Shadow Minister without Portfolio, commenting on reports that Nigel Farage has been talking to Tory MPs about co-operation in the event of a hung Parliament said:
“UKIP do not stand for working people because they are too busy planning to join the Tories. They are a party of Tory money, Tory people and Tory policies.
"It is growing increasingly clear that UKIP and the Tories are prepared to work together, which would be a disaster for working families’ living standards and British business.
"UKIP and the Tories would further increase NHS privatisation and introduce yet more tax breaks for those at the top, while driving Britain towards the EU exit door and putting millions of jobs at risk.
"Only Labour has a better plan for a better future, which will raise the living standards of all working families, based on a strong economic foundation.”
