Angela Eagle MP, Labour’s Shadow Business Secretary, responding to the comments from the CBI on the Government’s record on the green economy, said:

“This warning from the CBI is damning of this Government’s approach to the green economy.

“The Tories’ decisions to scrap subsidies for onshore wind and kill off the Green Deal have created huge uncertainty and shown that their priorities are not just wrong for the environment, they are wrong for business too.

“Companies do not have the confidence to invest and Ministers should heed the warnings from business before Britain’s green economy pays the price of their failure.”
