Clive Efford MP, Labour’s Shadow Sports Minister, responding to reports that Sepp Blatter is to be suspended for 90 days by the Fifa ethics committee, said:  

“It beggars belief that the Fifa Ethics Committee has only recommended that Sepp Blatter is suspended for a mere 90 days. 

“Sepp Blatter’s term as Fifa President is due to end in March and it would not be acceptable for him to return unless all of the investigations into corruption are completed and he is found innocent.  The Ethics Committee must think again.”
