Heidi Alexander MP, Labour’s Shadow Health Secretary, said:

“It’s welcome that Jeremy Hunt has indicated that he might be willing to compromise, although a number of key issues remain unresolved.

"Jeremy Hunt must now convince the BMA he is prepared to negotiate in good faith, and put forward a contract that won’t put patient safety at risk.”
