Jon Ashworth MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister Without Portfolio, has today written to David Cameron about his failure to answer questions on what he knew about Lord Ashcroft’s non dom status.

Jon Ashworth MP said:

“Yet again David Cameron has dodged a very important question about what he knew, when about Lord Ashcroft’s non dom tax status.

“There are two conflicting accounts of when the Prime Minister knew his major donor and campaign supremo was a non dom: his and Lord Ashcroft’s. Based on what we have heard to date, they can’t both be accurate. So which is correct?

“Desperate attempts to avoid giving a straight answer mean the questions are only growing and it’s beginning to look like the Prime Minister has got something to hide. He needs to come clean and he needs to do so straight away.”
