Justin Madders MP, Labour’s Shadow Health Minister, responding to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman’s review of patient complaints, said:
“These troubling findings shows how much more needs to be done to improve the way the NHS handles patient complaints.
"When complaints are made in the NHS, patients should have the confidence their concerns will be listened to and action will be taken.
"Ministers should set out clearly how they intend to respond to the Ombudsman’s findings to ensure patients have a voice in the NHS when things go wrong.”
