Jonathan Ashworth MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister without Portfolio, commenting on the Tories’ Black and White Ball taking place this evening said:

“With the Tories its one rule for them and another for everyone else. While they’re at a lavish ball, filling their coffers, working people are having their in work support cut and their rights attacked.

"Its gross hypocrisy that while the Tories fill their own war chest, they’re at the same time attacking trade unions funding - the clean, open subs that millions of working people pay to give them a voice in the workplace.

"The Tories may be having a ball but for working people a Tory government is no cause for celebration.”
