Sir Philip Green must appear in Parliament to account for his actions - Angela Eagle MP

Angela Eagle MP, Shadow First Secretary of State and Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, commenting on Sir Philip Green’s refusal to participate in the joint Select Committees inquiry into the BHS scandal, said;

 "The 11,000 former BHS workers expect answers from Sir Philip Green. And they deserve them.

“He took millions out of BHS and ran up a huge pension deficit before flogging it off for just £1. The hard working BHS staff have lost their jobs and part of their pensions.

"Given this - and the extraordinary allegations made in Parliament last week - Sir Philip Green must appear in Parliament to account for his actions. For him to refuse to is utterly unacceptable.”
