Today's climate change annnouncement by China and USA is good news for the security of the planet but a sad sign that UK is falling behind the curve - Gardiner
Labour’s Barry Gardiner, Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade, Energy & Climate Change and Europe, responding to the US-China joint commitment to ratify the Paris Climate Agreement this year said:
“Today’s announcement is good news for the security of the planet, but a sad sign that under the Tories the UK is falling behind the curve.
“I repeat my call on the Prime Minister to follow through on our international commitments, and ratify the climate deal by the end of the year. Failing to do so will see the UK abandon our leadership on climate change and make it harder to attract investment for a smart, clean economy.”
