Jon Ashworth, Labour’s Shadow Minister Without Portfolio, responding to Ken Clarke’s comments about Theresa May and the Tory Government, said:

“This should be a wakeup call for Theresa May. Ken Clarke backed Theresa May for leadership but even he is losing patience. Things aren’t just going to plan, there simply is no plan.

“Even Theresa May’s big cheerleaders can see it: under her the Tories have no answers to the big challenges and no policies to deliver the change our country needs.”
