Dave Anderson MP, Labour’s Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, responding to the announcement of a cross border forum on Brexit from the Irish Prime Minister, said:

“It’s clear that the Tories have no plan for Brexit. They say they want the best deal for Northern Ireland but have no answers on what a post-Brexit relationship with Ireland will look like.

“So far Northern Ireland has been an afterthought of the Conservative government. It is now crucial that all steps are taken to work with the Irish Government and the Northern Ireland Executive to find the best solution for Northern Ireland and all that live there.”
