The scale and pace of global job cuts proposed by Bombardier is bad news for UK manufacturing - Dromey

Jack Dromey MP, Shadow Minister for Labour, commenting on the job cuts proposed by Bombardier, said:

“The scale and pace of global job cuts proposed by Bombardier is bad news for UK manufacturing. These are world-class skilled jobs in a loyal and long-serving workforce.

“Over 1,270 jobs were axed across the Derby and Belfast plants earlier this year. Any further losses would be devastating for all of the workers, their families and their communities.

“Labour will fight to protect and expand skilled train and plane-building in the UK.”
