Bill Esterson MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Small Business, responding to RBS setting up a compensation fund for small businesses, said:

“British small firms are crucial to the success of our economy. RBS allowed small businesses to risk collapse to boost its own profits.

“What happened at RBS was terrible for small businesses and bad news for the economy. The Government must make sure this can never happen again.”
