Women not only have to worry about the gender pay gap but they also shoulder the burden of unpaid work - Rebecca Long-Bailey

Rebecca Long-Bailey MP, Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, commenting on the ONS report today entitled ‘Household Satellite Account, which reveals women carry out 60 percent of all unpaid work, said:

“These findings are a strong reminder of the unfairness in the world of work, where women not only have to worry about the gender pay gap but they also shoulder the burden of unpaid work.

“The Government has let working women down for too long, Labour would place women at the heart of our economy, where they should be, and ensure that they are well paid and protected in the work place.”
