Lewis MP, Shadow Business Secretary, responding to reports Google is to invest
in the UK said:
“Google’s decision to invest in the UK is fantastic news. The 3000 jobs it
will create with their commitment to doing business here in the UK is good
news.
"I welcome, in particular, their statement that they are happy to ‘pay
their fair share of tax’. The onus is now on the Government to make sure they
do.
"We also note their warning that getting brexit wrong could jeopardise
this kind of decision in the future - this is why the Government’s current
shambles is so worrying.”
