Maternity discrimination levels are out of control under this Government - Sarah Champion
Sarah Champion MP, Labour’s Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities, commenting on a report from Maternity Action, said:
“Maternity discrimination levels are out of control under this Tory Government.
“The introduction of employment tribunal fees of up to £1,200 means that the Conservatives are pricing out the majority of mothers from seeking protection in the face of unscrupulous employers.
“Ministers must respond to the Women and Equalities Committee report, completed last August, without further delay and explain in detail how they intend to reverse the unacceptable levels of maternity discrimination from our workplaces.”
