Liam Byrne MP, Labour’s Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary, responding to reports that Sir Jeremy Heywood is to review measures to tackle youth unemployment, said:

“This out of touch Government has created a jobless generation. What we
need now is action, not another review. It’s time for Labour’s compulsory
jobs guarantee to get any young people who has been unemployed for the long term into a real paying job.”
