Cameron's failure to appoint an Armed Forces Minister - Coaker

Vernon Coaker MP, Labour’s Shadow Defence Secretary, said on David Cameron’s failure to appoint an Armed Forces Minister in yesterday’s Government reshuffle:

“This is an outrageous snub to our Armed Forces and their families.

“The Prime Minister should have our brave servicemen and women at the forefront of his mind all of the time. Instead, he shows how out of touch he is by not even remembering to appoint a Minister for Armed Forces in the reshuffle.

“Our Armed Forces are risking their lives for our country every day. It shouldn’t be too much to ask that their Prime Minister has someone in his Government to stand up for their service and sacrifice.

“Our Armed Forces deserve better.”
