Chuka Umunna MP, Shadow Business Secretary, commenting on the IPCC informing lawyers that police officers colluded in the blacklisting of workers, said:
“The IPCC has confirmed what many had suspected for some time and has reaffairmed evidence brought forward by the Scottish Affairs Committee and elsewhere. It is deeply concerning that police officers are believed to have colluded in blacklisting.
"This news demonstrates the depth and scale of the blacklisting scandal and strengthens our resolve to make sure it is never repeated.
"It is clear that we need a full inquiry into the blacklisting scandal, which we have been calling for since January. If ministers continue to sit on their hands in spite of this and other new revelations which have emerged and refuse to take this crucial step, it will be left to a future Labour government to act.”
