Hilary Benn MP, Labour’s Shadow Communities and Local Government Secretary, responding to reports that some lettings agents may be discriminating against black tenants, said:

“This is a shocking story. What’s been revealed appears to be a flagrant breach of the law. I will be calling for an investigation by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.”
