Thomas Docherty MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Water, responding to Ofwat’s decision to block Thames Water’s proposed level of increase in water bills, said:

“It is right that Ofwat have turned down this application, particularly at a time where customers across London and the South East are suffering under David Cameron’s cost of living crisis. The rising cost of living is a concern for everyone with many families now having to count every penny. I hope Ofwat continue to reject this application outright.”
