Companies who should be caring for us are instead focusing on avoiding tax - Jamie Reed

Jamie Reed MP, Labour’s Shadow Health Minister, responding to concerns over NHS contractors avoiding tax, said:

“People will be concerned to hear that companies who should be caring for us, are instead focusing on avoiding tax. This situation is likely to become more common, thanks to David Cameron’s top-down reorganisation of the NHS which puts competition ahead of patient care.

“Since the election the NHS has lost over 5,000 nurses while this Tory-led Government has wasted £3 billion on a reorganisation nobody wanted.

“This just shows that you can’t trust David Cameron with the NHS.”
