Michael Dugher MP, Labour’s Shadow Cabinet Office Minister, commenting on the Liberal Democrats abstaining on Labour’s Opposition Day vote on unqualified teachers, despite Nick Clegg speaking out in support of Labour’s position last week, said:
“For Nick Clegg it’s always ‘believe what I say, not what I do’.
“By refusing to support Labour in today’s Commons vote to bring an end David Cameron’s policy that allows unqualified teachers into our classrooms, he has again shown why he cannot be trusted.
“Today has shown that the out of touch Tories are letting down young people while the Lib Dems have revealed their true colours - yellow.”
