Richard Burden MP, Labour’s Shadow Transport Minister, responding to the publication of ‘Road Casualties in Great Britain’ statistics, said:

“These figures show the number of motorcyclists and cyclist killed and injured on our roads is going up.  As we approach Road Safety Week, Ministers need to tune into road safety, put the most vulnerable first and get clear targets in place to cut the number of people killed or seriously injured on our roads.”
