David Cameron’s fingerprints are all over this A&E crisis - Burnham
Andy Burnham MP, Labour’s Shadow Health Secretary, on the continuing crisis in Britain’s hospitals, said:
“On the brink of winter, we learn that David Cameron has left hospitals full to bursting and dangerously understaffed.
“England’s A&Es are experiencing their worst year in a decade, with thousands more patients waiting hours on end on corridor trolleys. And what’s worse is that A&E departments are facing the most difficult time of year with thousands fewer nurses.
“Ministers cut social care support to the bone and closed a quarter of NHS Walk-in Centres - leaving people with no alternatives but to go to A&E. David Cameron’s fingerprints are all over this A&E crisis – it is proof you can’t trust him with the NHS.”
