Maria Eagle MP, Labour’s Shadow Environment Secretary, responding to the Nature Check 2013 report, said:

“This devastating report exposes David Cameron’s failure of leadership which is now setting back efforts to protect Britain’s wildlife and natural environment and demonstrates the hollowness of his pledge to lead the greenest government ever.

“We all have a duty to protect Britain’s natural environment for future generations and David Cameron must now listen to this clear and urgent warning from Britain’s most respected conservation charities.”
