Jim Murphy MP, Labour’s Shadow International Development Secretary, said:

“These talks are a move in the right direction, but those engulfed by this crisis cannot wait until January for humanitarian aid – they need support now.

“Millions are trapped in desperate and deteriorating conditions still beyond reach of the most basic support. This cannot be allowed to continue.

“It is now time for all sides to fully implement the Presidential Statement on humanitarian access to Syria, and open all parts of the country to the life-saving aid they so badly need.”
