Tristram Hunt MP, Labour’s Shadow Education Secretary, responding to Baroness Morgan leaving her position as the Chair of Ofsted, said:

“Baroness Morgan has done an excellent job as Chair of Ofsted and it is with great regret that the Secretary of State has chosen not to renew her tenure.

"She is a true champion of high standards in our school. The  Secretary of State should have stood up to Downing St and kept Baroness Morgan in post; this decision is completely lost on me.”
