Tristram Hunt MP, Labour’s Shadow Education Secretary, responding to Sir Michael Wilshaw’s comments on Baroness Morgan at the Education Select Committee, said:

“Michael Gove’s attempt to politicise Ofsted has undermined the integrity of the Schools Inspectorate. Sir Michael Wilshaw and Baroness Morgan have been doing an excellent job, working with schools to improve the learning outcomes for children across the country. The Secretary of State is putting standards at risk by playing politics.”
