Statistics from The Big Deal campaign lay bare the full scale of collapse in confidence in the energy market - Jonathan Reynolds

Jonathan Reynolds MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Energy and Climate Change, commenting on statistics from The Big Deal campaign showing that 2013 was the second lowest year on record for the number of people switching energy supplier, said:

“If any more evidence was needed that people have totally lost faith with the energy market, this is it. These statistics lay bare the full scale of the collapse in confidence in the energy market.

“The only way to restore trust is to reset the energy market by freezing prices until 2017 and reforming the market to make it more transparent and competitive, as Labour has proposed. That’s why next week Labour will hold a vote in the House of Commons calling for an immediate price freeze.”
