David Hanson MP, Labour’s Shadow Home Office Minister, responding to the latest catch up release from the Home Office, said:
“David Cameron has been exposed for playing catch up with Labour. He voted against this proposal from Labour only six days ago and suddenly he’s now in favour.
“The Conservatives have shown no interest in controlling the impact of immigration. Labour is setting the agenda in this area.
“On David Cameron’s watch the number of businesses fined for employing illegal workers has halved and his Government has repeatedly undermined those trying to tackle gangmasters. The Tories’ record in standing up for UK workers is appalling.”
