David Cameron is obsessing about UKIP rather than the cost-of-living crisis faced by British families- Dugher

Michael Dugher MP Labour’s Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office, responding to the Conservative’s European election launch poster, said:

“David Cameron is obsessing about UKIP rather than the cost-of-living crisis faced by British families. Once again, this is weakness not leadership.  David Cameron is banging on about Europe, putting party interest before the national interest.

"Pushed about by UKIP, David Cameron offers no solutions to raise living standards, only a policy to put a ‘closed for business’ sign over the UK.

"With things getting harder, the big question at this election is who will best stand up for hardworking families, but David Cameron is in the pocket of the privileged few, in fear of UKIP and incapable of raising living standards for ordinary people.

"With our plan to offer Generation Rent a fair deal, freeze energy bills and reform the economy so it works for working people, only Labour will make Britain better off with a plan to help hardworking families by tackling the cost-of-living crisis.”
