Vernon Coaker MP Labour’s Shadow Defence Secretary, responding to the release of the Air Investigation Board’s report into the RAF Lossiemouth Tornado crash, said:

“My thoughts are firstly with the families and friends of those killed. They have my deepest sympathies.

"The Government has indicated it accepts the findings of the Air Investigation Board and should now take immediate steps to implement its recommendations.

"We should have clarification from the Defence Secretary that these essential safety upgrades will be applied to all appropriate aircraft.”
