It's not good enough for Ministers to admit in private that they've left NHS finances in a dire state - Reed
Jamie Reed MP, Labour’s Shadow Health Minister, responding to Health Minister Norman Lamb’s comments on NHS finances, said:
“It’s not good enough for Ministers to admit in private that they’ve left NHS finances in a dire state. Labour’s warned of this for years - it’s hitting patient care standards and the Government must take action.
"David Cameron’s disastrous decision to break his promise of ‘no top-down re-organisation’ is the main reason the NHS is in such a fragile financial position. It turned the NHS upside down and cost a staggering £3 billion.
"Everywhere you look, there are signs of an NHS now heading rapidly in the wrong direction. This is why David Cameron is losing public trust with the NHS.”
