David Cameron must step in and get a grip of the huge increase in the level of housing benefit overpayment - Bryant
Chris Bryant MP, Labour’s Shadow Welfare Reform Minister, following the publication of Government statistics which show a 36% rise in the level of housing benefit overpayments since 2011, said
“The 36 per cent rise in housing benefit overpayments is staggering and is further evidence of the Government’s failure to control social security spending. Housing benefit overpayments have risen by more than £350million since 2011. David Cameron must step in and get a grip of the huge increase in the level of housing benefit overpayment which is costing taxpayers hundreds of millions of pounds.”
