Jamie Reed MP, Labour’s Shadow Health Minister, responding to the Care Quality Council’s “Cracks In The Pathway” report, said: 

“This report is damning for David Cameron - some of the most vulnerable people in society now face appalling care standards. On his watch, hundreds of thousands of people have seen their home care support taken away and hospitals are struggling to cope. 

"Labour is committed to bringing the NHS and social care together to give people with the greatest need, especially those with dementia, a far higher standard of care - they deserve much better than they’re currently getting.”
